What a treat it was to see the great Jimmy Dore light it up at The Wilbur Theater in Boston. He pulled no punches, taking on everyone from flag people to Nancy Pelosi to all the vaccine worshipping Stasi wannabes who made it their business to narc on their neighbors during The Flu World Order. My brother Mike and had I excellent front row seats in the first balcony courtesy of Jimmy and his wonderful team.
We were also delighted to take a trip backstage after the show to say hello to the man himself and catch up on the world’s happenings since we last saw each other in February of 2020. I first met Jimmy when he traveled to New Hampshire to emcee at a marijuana policy event for Tulsi Gabbard in snowy Concord, NH during primary season. He dazzled an audience of over 200 people with funny anecdotes and fantastic points about why marijuana should be legalized and re-scheduled federally. I also ate Indian food the first time in my life at Taj India in Manchester, NH with Jimmy and Tulsi during his trip.
Jimmy’s wife, Stef Zamorano warmed the crowd up and treated us to some of her best impressions which included hometown hero Pocahontas, Crooked H, Kamala Harris and a corpse like Diane Feinstein (RIP, gone too soon). Zamorano regaled us with a hilarious tale of her times teaching public school in California, with one day finding local police searching not only students but running drug sniffing dogs through faculty parking. This happened of course on the day she took her husband Jimmy’s car to work…. You can imagine the rest…

For close to two hours, it was like sitting and cracking jokes with someone who watched the madness of the last four years play out right next to you, sharing outrage in equal measure. Have we reached peak clown world yet? Perhaps, but if not, Jimmy Dore will always be a most trustworthy guide to explore the further regions of experience. Dore & Zamorano provided a most welcomed departure from the boring, mundane, cliché, half-baked and tired horse shit that passes as comedy in 2024. Bold, funny, familiar, fresh and over the top are just a few words I’d use to describe the spectacle.
After a great performance, my brother and I were escorted down some narrow and rickety stairs to the backstage area of The Wilbur. Getting the go ahead from security, we were led to Jimmy’s green room for a beautiful hang out session. What a joy it was to catch up, shoot the breeze and honk along with a fellow clown-pilled yet optimistic traveler. We went over the fact that to get hyped for the show, Mike and I watched Jimmy’s first-watch response to Tim Dillon’s Meghan McCain impression during an episode of Joe Rogan. If you’re ever feeling down, I cannot recommend watching that clip enough. It’s a pure ode to joy. Dore’s righteous outrage and bombastic outbursts of shaming and slagging of the authoritarian forces that seek to control every aspect of our existence was ever inspiring.
If you get a chance to see Jimmy and Stef, do it! You will feel overjoyed, refreshed, and reminded that you’re not alone in our quest to learn the truth and have a few laughs along the way. Jimmy is one of the best in the game and he’s showing no signs of slowing down.
